is a seven-year-old wireless consulting and integration firm. Wireless WAN/LAN design and integration consulting is our specialty. GIST offers over 50 years combined experience in enterprise network solutions, wireless design and integration, for the hospitality, corporate, education and municipal wireless marketplaces.

Our primary business at GIST is SERVICE. GIST primary services include wireless sight surveys, interference analysis, wireless rouge identification, wireless security analysis, wireless and IP video feasibility, solution design and integration.

Education services include e-rate LAN and WWAN Telecom services. We have been certified for 6 years and have several completed projects which are available on request. These include unlicensed and licensed wireless projects ranging from 900Mhz to 24 Ghz licensed links.

Corporate and hospitality projects include point to point links up to 40 miles in extreme weather conditions.

Product expertise includes Nomadix, Cisco Aironet, Motorola Canopy, Tranzeo in the unlicensed 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.3 I, from 2.4GHz to 5.2GHz and 5.8GHz spectrums.

Licensed Microwave products include  Dragonwave, and Proxim in 11GHz, 18GHz,  23GHz and 24Ghz frequencies. Target ranges can be from a few hundred feet to several miles. Based on sight surveys, our recommended solutions include bandwidth from 20MB's to GIG-e.

Data Analysis tools and consulting services include Bumblebee, Air Magnet and Wireless Valley. Not only do we use these tools, we can teach your staff how to use them. It is not uncommon that our clients have these tools but may not have the time to learn them extensively or inherited them from their predecessor.

is the prerequisite wireless planning tool for implementing laser, licensed Microwave and unlicensed solutions. A key deliverable in most wireless sight surveys is line of sight verification. The  flash shown was taken from 2.5 miles, and assures the client of true line of site from established heights and is a key to a successful, on-time wireless, laser or microwave installation.

Last Mile Solutions with Microwave, Laser and unlicensed spread spectrum, offer cost effective alternatives to costly, low bandwidth T-1 and Telco products. GIST offers protected, interference free licensed Microwave and Laser solutions from 50MB to GIGe in native IP, high speed formats.

GIST Indoor Site Survey Tools and methodology  deliver optimum access point (AP) placement with predictable throughput and signal strength datum. Most installations are based on the "guess" method, leaving coverage holes or ignoring interference when AP's are placed too close to each other or near a microwave interference radius zones generated by microwave ovens and can interfere with 2.4GHz radios.

Video Surveillance, Video Conferencing and IP Video consume bandwidth and generate multicast traffic. IP Video produces wide band, network intensive,  multicast streams, which wreak havoc on most networks. Wireless & Video Interference

GIST consulting includes interference analysis and alternative frequency solutions. When wireless is combined with video, interference will typically render video streams inoperable; symptoms include video lock up and pixilization. Watching video in a wireless interference environment is difficult, if not impossible.
